HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

To date, only the world’s leading athletes and their organizations have benefited from the recent breakthroughs in the field of sport science, providing a massive performance advantage. PRECISION makes this new generation of sport science methodology available to the adolescent-athlete of the San Francisco Bay Area. PRECISION care’s as much about its high school athletes achieving long healthy careers and maximizing sports performance as we do about professional and Olympic athletes. Thus the underpinnings of PRECISION’s detailed high school training approach are:

  • Collegiate Sport Preparation
  • Adolescent Exercise Science & Long Term Athletic Development (link to each)
  • Injury Prevention & Reduction

Especially during the first half of high school (freshman and sophomore years), puberty status and physical maturity are large determinants of sports performance for the adolescent athlete. Not all adolescence have the same body or the same response to physical training. They are unique organisms that require individualized training prescriptions as we prepare them for competing in college sports. Athlete’s training progress is objectively monitored throughout the process to ensure outcomes are specific to immediate high school needs and future college sports goals. The following components are potential items featured in a high school athlete’s program design depending on the athlete’s biological age, sport, position, stage of puberty, and any training background he/she may have:

  • Injury prevention
  • Corrective flexibility/mobility exercise
  • Strength training
  • Speed/power training
  • Agility/change of direction mechanics
  • Acceleration/deceleration gait mechanics
  • Sport-specific conditioning
  • Core stability training

Sessions are 1-2x per week during In-Season and 3-6x per week Off-Season.
